The core material requirements for the windshield wiper include: the wiping part should use rubber or silicone with good aging resistance and flexibility; the frame part should be made of high-strength and corrosion-resistant metal or engineering plastic; and the motor part should be waterproof, dustproof and have stable power.


The windshield wipers are mainly composed of wiper blades, wiper arms and motors. Each component has specific material requirements to ensure the cleaning effect and durability.


Wiper Blade: This is the part that directly contacts the glass. The traditional material is mostly rubber, which requires good elasticity and wear resistance to fit the curved surface of the glass and remove rainwater. High-end products often use silicone material because it is more resistant to ultraviolet aging and extreme temperature changes, and has a longer service life. Some patented designs also add rubber-like material strips with ribs on both sides of the wiper blade, which are used to sweep away dust particles before wiping to reduce the wear of the blade.


Wiper Arm: As a conductive component connecting the blade and the motor, it is usually made of metal (such as steel or aluminum alloy) and requires high strength and resistance to deformation to provide stable downward pressure. The main frame of modern boneless wipers may also use reinforced plastics or composite materials to achieve lightweight and better aerodynamic performance.


Wiper Motor: It requires continuous power supply. The housing material should have excellent waterproof and dustproof properties. The internal gears and coils need to be resistant to high temperatures and capable of withstanding long-term operation wear.
